Hut Hopping in Kandersteg

Kandersteg has 550km of  hiking trails and with a well-developed network of mountain huts, this tiny Swiss village is a great place to do some serious trekking. Only about 1000 people live full time in the village so you can be sure to find some solace in this mountainous adventure location.

Single Day Treks
Make sure you head up to Oeschinensee Lake, where a spectacular cliff face boarders one side of the water. To get there you can either take the cable car then walk for 20 minutes or walk all the way from Kandersteg which takes around an 1hr. Perhaps stay a night beside the Oeschinensee Lake either at Berghotel Oeschinensee (email: info@oeschinensee.ch, telephone: +41 (0)33 675 11 19)
