Sunbathing in St Tropez, boozing in Benidorm or getting bitten by 500 mosquitoes on the Norwegian tundra? No brainer…
Come summer there’s only one thing I want to do: leave the comfort of London and thrive on challenging myself in some of the most wild landscapes in the world. For me nothing compares to pursuing my passions of fishing and hiking in places miles from towns or medical help where one is totally accountable for their actions. From a young age I was exposed to the pleasures of the outdoors in Canada and Europe and I’ve since encouraged myself to leave my comfort zone whenever I can.
Over the years I’ve picked up some key skills that allow me to take on more demanding expeditions in remote corners of Europe. In my last two summers I have developed a love affair with the Scandinavian Arctic, being lucky enough to visit the arctic regions in Norway, Sweden and Finland. I hope to prove that the Scandinavian Arctic is an incredible outdoor arena, and show just how easy it is to access amazing wild adventure with the simple planning and straightforward gear. As a medical student in London I am currently time rich and money poor, two factors that have taught me to carefully plan trips that I now want to share.
